This year, for the first time, we decided to put ourselves forward for an industry award – and we won!
Our work with Capital City College Group (CCCG) scooped the award for Project of the Year (up to £250,000 budget) in the Real IT Awards, which were presented in London on May 9.
A complex transition programme kick-started by the merger of three colleges at London’s largest further education college group necessitated a major upgrade of its IT infrastructure. Our custom-built solution focused on enhancing the technology experience for all stakeholders by ensuring organisational resilience, since system failures in a technology-led learning environment could seriously compromise the work of students and staff.
Most importantly, given the threat from increasingly sophisticated malware attacks, the solution was designed to secure and back up data and ensure that all of CCCG’s sites are better prepared to deal with cyber threats.
We understand the competition was strong this year, so we’re thrilled to win a Real IT Award. Huge thanks to our team, for the innovative way in which everyone approached the challenge and implemented the solution, and to CCCG for its support.
The Real IT Awards were set up by the Corporate IT Forum five years ago and acknowledge expertise across the IT spectrum, with particular emphasis on team effort. The judging panel comprised senior executives at blue chip organisations, including London School of Economics, News Corp, Ofsted and the Economist Intelligence Unit, as well as senior Home Office and Cabinet Office officials.
